Our Adult Advocates equip adults in crisis with new learning, friendship, and community resources. We operate as a source or a hub of social services. We are a life and work resource connection for adults and families in Lancaster.

At The Factory, we believe poverty is a lack of resources. Wealth equates to more than just the money in your bank account. Individuals who walk through our doors for help step into one of three program tracks (triage, goal, and relational). We learn and listen to the whole story, see participants as our friends, and connect them to tools and resources. Then, we get to witness their God-given ability to make changes and grow.

Programs

Participants in track programs meet with their Advocate weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

  • Triage Track: addressing the basic needs of shelter, food, warmth, and safety
  • Relational Track: building community and friendship, option for help connecting to the local church
  • Goal Track: setting goals and working towards independence and a new future story

Community Care Team (CCT)

We are each designed to care for others and receive care from others. At CCT, we work on projects, crafts, and activities that encourage us to care for one another. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to build connections to others in our community! This is the only workshop where we are able to provide transportation for homebound individuals. CCT is the second Thursday of each month from 1-3pm.

BINGO

Every month at The Factory Ministries, we host BINGO as an opportunity for social engagement and connection for our socially-isolated community members. BINGO is the fourth Thursday of each month from 1-3pm. It has quickly become our most popular community program!

Learning Together

Learning Together is a workshop for adults in our community to come and learn something new. We invite local experts in a variety of topics (budgeting, tenant rights, cooking on a budget, nutrition, and crafting) to come and explore their area of expertise for 4 weeks. We encourage all community members, whether in crisis or looking to care for neighbors in crisis, to come and enjoy learning together!
