Written by Ashley Stalnecker of LNP: Will Perez, associate director of programs at Kinber, left, and Anna Beasley, director of adult advocacy at The Factory Ministries, stand by the new laptops in The Factory Ministries Digital Learning Lab, on the day it opened, Wednesday, Dec. 17.
A Paradise Township Christian nonprofit opened a digital learning lab Wednesday to offer community members use of 10 new laptops, internet access and monthly digital skills training.
The equipment in The Factory Ministries’ new lab, at 3293 Lincoln Highway East, was purchased by Kinber, a Lititz-based statewide digital access and opportunity nonprofit, and is the first participating site of several to be launched by the organization in coming months.
Additional hubs are slated to launch in 2026 at Redbank Valley Public Library, Clarion County; Tionesta Public Library, Forest County; Huntingdon County Library, Huntingdon County; and Green Free Library, Tioga County, according Kinber spokesperson Alexis LaPointe.

Written by Kerri Burns.
On a recent Thursday afternoon, a single mother walked through the doors of the Factory Market in Paradise for the first time. She had heard about the market from a neighbor who knew she was struggling to keep groceries on the table. Article by Tim Struhldreher in partnership with The Lancaster County Community Foundation:
Our unique role as a community foundation allows us to hear directly from organizations on the front lines to learn first hand how federal initiatives are impacting us here in Lancaster County. To help connect our shared community with accurate information, we reached out to The Factory Ministries in Paradise, PA to understand how cuts to federal support impacts residents in eastern Lancaster County.
Adam Nagle thinks a lot about poverty. How people fall into poverty, and how to help them out of it. How people perceive it, versus the reality.
Nagle is the executive director of The Factory Ministries, a faith-based social services hub fighting poverty in eastern Lancaster County. Its mission is threefold: to empower people, connect resources, and build community.

“We believe the best way to address poverty is to empower individuals with tools and resources through relationship,” the organization says.
